Entry 03 · Juragan Arang

A named shape is only the start of the brief.

For a stock order, connect the requested form to the customer’s equipment and the checks they can carry out when the goods arrive.

Turn a shape request into a description

Provide dimensions with units if you have a reference piece. Otherwise, describe the space and loading pattern the customer works with. Ask sales to confirm the options available for discussion.

A catalogue image is not a stock confirmation. The quoted dimensions, tolerance, and pack arrangement should describe the purchase you intend to make.

Agree what a sample trial should record

Discuss sample arrangements with sales. No burn duration, ash figure, or application result is promised on this page.

  • Use the final customer’s intended equipment.
  • Record the charge and the lighting method.
  • Note when material is added and what remains afterwards.
  • Keep observations separate from explanations you have not tested.

Define the receipt check

Ask how changes in shape or breakage in transit should be recorded and discussed. Establish the acceptance reference and reporting route while reviewing the quotation.

Keep unknown figures open.
